LATE returns with So Many Different Levels, a brand-new 10-track album produced entirely by Tricksta, bringing together underground Hip Hop, reflective lyricism and laid back street narratives across a diverse collection of tracks.
With over two decades of experience representing underground UK Hip Hop, LATE continues to push his sound forward while staying true to the raw, independent spirit that has defined his music throughout his career.
So Many Different Levels explores different sides of life, from ambition and personal growth to city life, nostalgia, relationships and the realities of everyday living.
Produced by Tricksta, the album provides the perfect backdrop for LATE's distinctive delivery and wordplay, moving between reflective, atmospheric and more upbeat moments without losing its underground identity.
The album opens with “Skydweller”, setting the tone for a project that refuses to sit in one place stylistically. “Swings & Roundabouts” reflects on life's constant ups and downs, while “Westside of the City” brings a strong sense of place and urban atmosphere.
“Simple Times” looks back at a less complicated era, followed by “You Are What You Eat”, which brings a different perspective and plenty of lyrical food for thought. “Resolutions” continues the theme of reflection and looking forward, while “Top of the World” delivers a laid-back, piano driven feel centred around ambition, confidence and being at the top of your game.
The album then moves into the darker territory of “False Idol”, before “Lazy Days” slows the pace and “Winter Blues”closes the album with a more reflective and atmospheric finale.
